Sequence Builder – Instructions

Spin it. Roll it. Remember it. Move with purpose.

Children begin by spinning the spinner or rolling the dice to select one of six actions. They match the action and perform it using their whole body or hands.

Next, children spin or roll again to build a sequence, adding each new action to the ones before. They follow the sequence in order, focusing on controlled, purposeful movement.

Once confident, children are encouraged to learn the sequence, close their eyes, and complete the actions from memory. This increases challenge while strengthening focus, body awareness, and working memory.

The activities can be played individually, in pairs, or in small groups and adapted by:

  • Changing the length of the sequence
  • Slowing or speeding up movements
  • Supporting children with visual cues or modelling

Each game is designed to promote coordination, motor control, memory, and self-regulation through playful, structured movement.
